The effects of CBD on receptors in the immune system may help reduce overall inflammation in the body. In turn, CBD oil may offer benefits for acne management. A human study published in the Journal of Clinical Investigationfound that the oil prevented activity in sebaceous glands. These glands are responsible for producing sebum, a natural oily substance that hydrates the skin. Too much sebum, however, can lead to acne.
The heat is very much on CBD oil sellers these days as the FDA continues to crack down on companies selling “questionable” (to put it nicely) hemp-based products. In fact, since 2015 – when the FDA first issued warning letters to multiple CBD sellers – the industry has been forced to clean up its act, at least in terms of manufacturing operations and brand transparency.
I am a father of six boys and have two combat tours under my belt with the Army Infantry. I suffered for years with anxiety, depression ,knee and back pain, until this. Plus CBD oil , gold has changed everything, I have used approximately 7 drops twice daily for almost a year now. I decided to try CBD oil after a trip to the ER for heart palpitations and severe anxiety attack, that I thought was a heart attack but after the ER told me my heart was fine and after seeing a cardiologist and him also clearing me, I suffered from a lump under my rib cage that almost felt like someone was squeezing my heart all day, every day until I started the CBD oil drops. It took me over7 mo ths to feel normal again but slowly , using CBD oil every day, my symptoms have almost completely went away. Today I have very mild anxiety and the stress is bearable., I feel much more relaxed than I did for almost 13 years after exiting the military. If you suffer from mild knee or back pain, moderate to severe anxiety or are prone to lots of stress, this is your saving Grace. This stuff did what Drs and Cardiologists couldn’t do! Twice a day, when you get up and just before bed. Feel better every day and it’s been a year…..still getting better.
If you talk to someone who has studied cannabis, they will tell you that cannabinoids (or phytocannabinoids, in plants) were part of the human diet for a very long time, dating back centuries. Your body even produces its own cannabinoids that are called endocannabinoids. Adding cannabis plant derivatives to your wellness plan gives your body more cannabinoids to use.
Scott Shannon, MD, assistant clinical professor at the University of Colorado, recently sifted through patient charts from his four-doctor practice to document CBD’s effects on anxiety. His study, as yet unpublished, found “a fairly rapid decrease in anxiety scores that appears to persist for months,” he says. But he says he can’t discount a placebo effect, especially since “there’s a lot of hype right now.”

CBD hemp oil has a number of uses and comes in many forms including capsules, tinctures, sublingual supplements, liquid oil, oil as a paste, sprays, salves, creams and in edible forms, such as candies or sweets. You can also inhale CBD oil from vapor-releasing pens, similar to the technology for e-cigarettes. This variety also provides a lot of controlled flexibility in terms of concentration, making CBD hemp oil useful and desirable for people of all ages, economic means, and personal needs.
To answer the question of which CBD oil is best, we have to understand the difference between the products: cannabis CBD oil is of course made from Cannabis (marijuana), and it contains high levels of CBD and THC. In fact, the THC can be anywhere from 0.3% all the way up to 30% and beyond. Cannabis oils are normally created to combat different debilitating medical conditions (such as cancer or Multiple Sclerosis), but they are also used for maintaining general wellness.
My mother has dementia/Alzheimers along with a broken knee that they will not repair do to her mental status.  She is currently in a nursing home.  I firmly believe her mental situation began with the over use of hydrocodone for over 30 years and was acerbated by the trauma of breaking and disconnecting her knee cap. Since weaning her off of her meds (still in progress) we have regained much of her consciousness.  I want to try CBD to help in her recovery or to help slow down the disease. I cannot find a dosage recommendation plus the nursing home/doctor does not recommend it.  I would need to give it to her when I am there visiting (about 3 – 4 times per week).  Is there a recommended dosage for dementia/Alzheimers?

The vast majority of CBD oils come in bottles measuring either 15 milliliters (mL), or 0.5 ounces; or 30 mL, or 1 ounce. However, CBD concentration is more important than bottle size. Concentration refers to the ratio of hemp oil solution (measured in mL) compared to the amount of CBD cannabinoid (measured in milligrams, or mg). A 15-mL bottle may contain 100 mg of CBD, 300 mg, 500 mg, or more. The higher the mg amount, the stronger the CBD oil will be. For this reason, the ‘mg’ measurement is also referred to as the oil’s strength; i.e., 400-mg oil might be called 400-strength oil.
